Privacy Notice -for all Midland Fuel Oil Customers

Here at Midland Fuel Oil we take privacy seriously. We will only hold personal information on you for two reasons:

  1. To manage the contractual relationship between Midland Fuel Oil and you, the customer (e.g. name and contact details, specific access details to ensure efficient delivery of fuel).
  2. To meet our statutory obligations (e.g. reporting to HMRC, Customs and Excise and the Department of Transport).

Your personal information is held securely on our computer network (which is backed up daily).

For those customers who choose to pay by debit card we ask for card details which are input directly onto the secure World Pay web site (the payment platform we use). We do not retain (or have access to) your card details anywhere in our systems.

The only hard copy (paper) records we have of your personal information is contained on the delivery note. You receive a copy of this with each delivery. Copies of these are held by the driver securely in his cab and returned to the office at the end of each day. These are filed securely in our office and are destroyed after 2 years.

We will not share your personal information with any third party unless obliged to do so by one of the statutory agencies named above.

We will retain your personal information on our customer database whilst you are a customer and for three years after your last order. If you wish to be removed earlier than this, please let us know.
